Nigeria Baseball and Softball Association (NBSA)
There are organized associations such as Nigeria National Baseball Team, ranked number 2 just after South Africa in the whole of Africa, is organized by Nigeria Baseball and Softball Association with intent to represent Nigeria in various baseball competitions or tournaments around the world.
Nigeria Baseball and Softball Association were formed in 1989 by some Nigeria team who were also enthusiasts of the sports, and the association is fully out to support and circulate youth development, attitude, building, the spirit of competition and patriotism using sports.
All these could achieve by willingly serving their various communities with diligence and clarity which are the techniques for which baseball and softball had been stable all over the world.
The body since after its foundation has been working with some local and international organizations such as World Little League, International Baseball Federation and International Softball Federation among others to see that baseball and softball are still functional within the country.
The team is a member of the African Baseball and Softball Association ABSA. Nigeria National Baseball Team has won a Bronze Medal in the 1999 All-Africa Games and 2003 All-Africa Games.
